Where Traditional Sponsorship Fails
The traditional sponsor to sponsor child relationship often results in the development of dependency cycles that keeps generational poverty trickling down over time. While needs are met, fathers and mothers are left undercut by the financial contributions that absolve them of their God-given responsibility to provide for their families. On top of this, the lack of clarity of where your money is going is often another major concern.
The Benjamin House Ministries difference
In typical family sponsorship programs, anywhere from 10% to 30%, or unfortunately even more sometimes, goes to the organization mediating the sponsorship instead of the child you sponsor. Due to the generosity of our donors to help specifically cover the administrative costs, the additional money that would typically go to cover the cost of running Benjamin House Ministries is leverage to holistically support entire families by empowering parents to take ownership of the futures of their family.
How do we holistically support families?
In additional to the immediate support for food, education, clothing, and other basic necessities, the money sent for sponsorship goes towards parenting classes, vocational training, financial literacy training, and so much more. At Benjamin House Ministries the only joy that comes near the salvation of a soul is when parents can come to our office and tell us they would like us to unenroll their child from the sponsorship program because they got it from here!
