Where They Come From
In Uganda there are approximately 15,000 children in Kampala alone that live on the streets. No parents, no protection, no provision, and for many of these children no hope that life will change. Whether it was the death of their parents or the excruciating chose of leaving the home so that their families would have one less mouth to feed, these children endure harsher conditions than most can fathom.
Where They Can Go With Benjamin House Ministries
Our transitional program takes boys out of the streets and into homes with loving, stable house parents. Instead of hunger, they receive food. Instead of being subject harsh environmental conditions, they receive stability. Instead of abuse, they receive love. In our transitional homes, the boys receive the loving care of Christ, but it is not just meeting immediate needs. The boys in our transitional program are educated and trained in vocational skills so that they will be able to support themselves and their future families. One of our incredible social workers is a testimony to the power of this program and you can hear the story of Samuel Muwanguzi below.
